Welcome to the home of the Middlebury Fire Department!

Located in the Champlain Valley just off the western slopes of Vermont’s Green Mountains, the towns of Middlebury and East Middlebury, Vermont have been served by a dedicated group of volunteer firefighters since 1892. With a combined population of over 10,000 citizens, the Middlebury Fire Department responds to roughly 160 to 190 calls a year, ranging from house fires, brush fires, car accidents, rope rescues, and hazardous material incidents to clearing flooded basements and assisting clean-up after storms and floods. Within the pages of this website, we invite you to discover more about the evolution of the Middlebury Fire Department, information concerning fire prevention, and statistics regarding emergency response. If you have any further questions, please feel free to drop by either of our stations, call us at (802) 388-4462, or email us at middleburyfire@gmail.com. Enjoy.
