Lieutenant Jeff Carpenter was recognized by the Middlebury College First Responders student group for his work as the club’s faculty advisor. The award was presented by Middlebury College student and firefighter Alex Browne at the inaugural Middlebury College First Responders’ banquet held on May 5th at the Kirk Alumni Center. In addition to serving as an officer with the MFD, Jeff is also the James B. Jermain Professor of Political Economy and International Law at the College; and Alex is a Physics major in the class of 2018.
On behalf of the members of the Middlebury Fire Department, we would like to thank our community for your show of support at the 63rd Annual East Middlebury Ham Supper that was held at the Waybury Inn last week. We truly appreciate your generosity and support.
We would also like to recognize the hard work and dedication of Donna Seibert and the tremendous staff at the Waybury, and the businesses who donated product or services for the event: Black River Produce, Cabot Creamery, Foley Distributing, U.S. Foods, the Valley Voice, and the Vermont Coffee Company. We could not do this without their support. In continuing the tradition of the ham supper, we look forward to interacting with the community at a time when we are not responding to emergencies, and also to providing community members with the chance to meet up with each other. Thanks again for your support of the Middlebury Fire Department and for making the supper a success. Chief David P. Shaw Captain Donald Mason Middlebury Fire Department |
